Old nomenclature: Agropyron smithii. Cool season, saline-tolerant, moderately drought tolerant, strongly rhizomatous sod-former. May be replaced by Elymus lanceolatus ssp. dasystachyum on coarser soils. Moderately palatable to livestock and wildlife.
